CASE 1: Teaching English As A Foreign Language
For this case, our class had to work in groups to create a quality lesson plan given a certain situation. This case was for a classroom in Bogotá, Colombia. We were instructed to create a lesson plan for a class of 25 6th and 7th grade Spanish-speaking students learning English as a Foreign Language.
To complete this case, my group wrote a lesson plan focusing on the correct use of difficult concepts in English grammar. Specifically, this lesson was centered on prepositions and featured a stations-based lesson to allow for student involvement and activity. View the lesson plan and Web 2.0/Discussion form in the web browser by scrolling down. Alternatively, links to download and view the files themselves are here and here, respectively. A blog post summarizing our work on this case is also available here.
